Kadaifi or Kadayif is a bread-based dessert. It is made from a special, crushed pastry (kataifi), which is made of wheat and water, used as well for the making of tasty savory appetizers. The dessert most commonly consists of crushed nuts (almond, hazelnut, peanut) and honey which give it a crunchy and exceptionally sweet taste.

Many countries claim the creation of the dessert as its origin is lost between countries of the southeastern Mediterranean. Even so, the most dominant theory is that the dessert was created in Afyonkarahisar in Asia Minor (Turkey).

Kadaifi is a very popular dessert in Arab countries such as Lebanon, Egypt and mostly Palestine and the former Ottoman public, Greece and Turkey. It is usually served with kaimaki ice cream, accompanied by greek coffee and lesser times with raki or ouzo.
