1kgGianniotiko is a syrupy dessert, a Greek alteration of classic saragli which is, baklava with phyllo where kataifi is added covering the inside of the phyllo. Then the filling is added and rolled into a big roll, which is cut into smaller pieces. The name "Gianniotiko" defines the way it is made and the tradition of Ioannina (Giannena), where it is made. The filling also includes crushed nuts and the dessert is bathed in golden, light syrup.
